Attorney Geoffrey Wren of Portland, OR; cheating loser

The state of Oregon presented Geoffrey G. Wren with a law license in 1988 after he graduated from the College of William & Mary School of Law.

The Disciplinary Counsel found Geoffrey guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Misrepresented his true intentions regarding reimbursement
  • Misrepresentation was intended to induce Farmers Insurance to endorse and return the settlement checks
  • Misconduct forced Farmers to make significant efforts to collect it from him
  • Acted intentionally in leading Farmers to believe that he intended to reimburse the company in full upon execution of the settlement checks
  • Violated a duty to the profession to refrain from charging a clearly excessive fee
  • Engaged in conduct involving dishonesty, fraud, deceit, or misrepresentation
  • By charging Farmers attorney fees for recovering collision damages without any fee agreement with Farmers in place, he charged an illegal or clearly excessive fee (cheater)
  • Misrepresentation caused Farmers to act to its detriment

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Florida Supreme Court punished Geoffrey by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. September 2020), Geoffrey practices his brand of law with the Workers’ Compensation Board at 16760 SW Upper Boones Ferry Road in Portland, Oregon.
