Attorney M. Christian Bottoms of Portland, OR; repeat offender

The state of Oregon presented M. Christian Bottoms with a law license in 1996 after he graduated from Willamette University School of Law.

The Oregon State Bar found Christian guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to provide client with proper flat fee agreement
  • Fee agreement failed to advise client of right to full or partial refund for the services for which the flat fee was paid were not performed
  • Engaged in a pattern of misconduct
  • Refused to acknowledge wrongful nature of conduct
  • Victim of misconduct was vulnerable

As one would suspect, this wasn’t Christian’s First bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree. He previously received a complimentary 1-year suspension of his law license for engaging in a variety of misconduct.

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Oregon Supreme Court punished Christian by gifting him with a complimentary 30-day suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. June 2019), Christian practices with the Law Office of M. Christian Bottoms in Portland, Oregon.
