Attorney Michael Downing of Cleveland, OH; ethical gremlin

The State of Ohio provided Michael John Downing with a law license in 1983 after he graduated Cleveland State University School of Law.

The Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association found Mikey guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Screw you, said Mikey!)
• Failed to advise client of lack of legal malpractice insurance
• Failed to obtain required written acknowledgement from client of the fact that he did not have legal malpractice insurance

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the Ohio Supreme Court punished Mikey by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. October 2020), Mikey practices his brand of law at 700 West St. Clair Avenue in Cleveland, Ohio.
