The state of Ohio presented David William Per Due with a law license in 1986 after he graduated from the University of Akron Law School.
Disciplinary Counsel of the Ohio Supreme Court found Davey guilty of the following misconduct, all of which took place while he was running for a position as a judge on the Ashtabula County Court of Common Pleas.

In one matter, Davey failed to timely complete the judicial campaign course requirement imposed by the Code of Judicial Conduct.
As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Ohio Supreme Court punished Judge Hien by gifting him with a complimentary $100 fine.

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Ohio Supreme Court punished Judge Hien by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand, an order to pay his opponent’s attorney fees and expenses of $2,001.50.
