Attorney Steven Allen of Flat Rock, NC; ethical goblin

The state of North Carolina presented Steven J. Allen with a law license in 2006 after he graduated from the University of North Carolina School of Law.

The Grievance Committee of the North Carolina State Bar found Stevie guilty of the following misconduct.

• Engaged in sexual relationship with a client
• Cohabitated with client while her child custody case was ongoing, thereby making himself a necessary witness in the case
• Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
• Engaged in egregious conflict of interest in sleeping with client while he represented her in an ongoing custody dispute

As a direct consequence of his misconduct the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Grievance Committee of the North Carolina State Bar punished Stevie gifting him with a complimentary 1-year suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. November 2020) Stevie practices his brand of law in Flat Rock, North Carolina.
