Attorney Lisa Dukelow of Durham, NC; lying thief

The state of North Carolina provided Lisa M. Dukelow with a law license in 1995 after he graduated from North Carolina Central University Law School.

The Grievance Committee of the North Carolina State Bar has charged Lisa with engaging in the following misconduct.

• Failed to respond to multiple client calls
• Failed to advise client of status of legal matter
• Failed to promptly refund unearned fee
• Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation
• Failed to fully cooperate with ethics investigators (Up yours, said Lisa!)
• Made false or misleading statement about her services
• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Collected a clearly excessive fee (thief)
• Failed to provide client with copy of child support order
• Continued representation after being discharged
• Failed to promptly disburse funds owing to client
• Failed to timely file inventory in probate matter
• Failed to participate in fee dispute resolution process
• Failed to serve person with visitation rights with adoption petition

All that’s left now is to see what if any punishment the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Grievance Committee of the North Carolina State Bar mete out to Lisa.
