Attorney Frank Housh of Tully, NY; slacker, loser

The state of New York presented Frank T. Housh with a law license in 2004 after he graduated from Syracuse University School of Law.

The Appellate Division Disciplinary Panel found Frankie guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Neglected a legal matter entrusted to him
  • Failed to reasonably consult with a client about the means by which the client’s objectives are to be accomplished
  • Failed to comply in a prompt manner with a client’s reasonable requests for information
  • Failed to explain a matter to the extent reasonably necessary to permit the client to make informed decisions regarding the representation
  • Misappropriated (stole) funds belonging to another person
  • Commingled client funds with personal funds
  • Failed to maintain funds belonging to another person in a segregated account, separate from his business or personal accounts
  • Failed to identify his trust account as an “attorney special account,” “attorney trust account,” or “attorney escrow account” or to obtain checks and deposit slips that bear such title
  • Failed to pay or deliver to a client or another person, as requested by the client or other person, funds or other property in his possession that the client or other person is entitled to receive
  • Failed failing to maintain required bookkeeping and other records concerning transactions involving his attorney trust account and any other bank account concerning or affecting his practice of law
  • Failed to make available to the Grievance Committee financial records required to be maintained and produced in response to a notice or subpoena issued in connection with a grievance complaint (Screw you, said Frankie!)
  • Failed to refund promptly any part of a fee paid in advance that has not been earned
  • Engaged in conduct that is prejudicial to the administration of justice;
  • Engaged in conduct involving dishonesty, fraud, deceit, or misrepresentation

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Appellate Division Disciplinary Panel punished Frankie by gifting him with a complimentary 2-year suspension of his law license effective January 5, 2021.

As we speak (ca. August 2023), Frankie practices his so-called brand of law at 1269 Dutch Hill Road in Tully, New York in early 2024.
