Attorney Robert Fix of Oswego, NY; slacker, serial offender

The state of New York provided Robert H. Fix a law license in 1991 after he graduated from Syracuse University School of Law.

FYI: It should be noted that this wasn’t Bobby’s First bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree. He previously received three (3) complimentary reprimands for engaging in a variety of misconduct.

The Appellate Division, Fourth Judicial Department found Bobby guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Ignored client request of file an appeal on case wherein he was assigned as defense counsel
  • Ignored several inquiries from his client regarding the status of his appeal
  • Motion for permission to file late appeal on client’s behalf rejected because Bobby failed to include required documents in the motion papers
  • Intentionally prejudiced or damages a client during representation of said client
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Neglected a legal matter entrusted to him
  • Failed to keep client informed of status of matter
  • Failed to comply with client information request
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
  • Engaged in conduct adversely reflecting on fitness to practice

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Fourth Judicial Department Disciplinary Board punished Bobby by gifting him with a complimentary censure.

As we speak (ca. June 2022), Bobby practices his so-called brand of law with The Fix Law Firm in Oswego, New York.
