Attorney Conway Martindale II of New York City; ethical dwarf

The state of Ohio presented William Matthew Tinch with a law license in 2005 after he graduated from the City University of New York (CUNY) School of Law.

In one matter, the 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals sanctioned Conway for wasting its time by failing to show up for schedule orgal arguments that involved client matters.

Conway’s laughable excuse was that he merely “forgot” about the scheduled appellate oral argument hearings. The appellate court wasn’t buying conway’s hyperbolic (BS) excuse and commented on it by saying the following.

  • “While we accept Martindale’s representation that his failure to appear was not intentional or malicious, attorneys are required to keep track of their professional obligations.
  • ”Particularly where, as here, oral argument had been restored to the calendar at Martindale’s specific request, just one business day before the scheduled appearance, ‘I forgot’ is not an acceptable excuse.”

The court monetarily sanction Conway and ordered that he pay opposing counsel’s legal fees and costs.

As we speak (ca. June 2020), Conway practices with Martindale & Associates PLLC at 380 Lexington Avenue in New York, New York.
