Attorney William Diconza of Oyster Bay, NY; thieving loser

The state of New York presented William Anthony Diconza with a law license in 1986 after he graduated from Fordham University School of Law.

The Judicial Department Committee on Professional Standards found Billy guilty of the following misconduct.

• Commingled client funds with personal funds
• Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty, or misrepresentation
• Misappropriated [stole] client funds entrusted to him
• Failed to maintain required bookkeeping records for a trust account
• Breached his fiduciary duty by misappropriating [stealing] $28,873 in client funds entrusted to him

• Duped client into loaning him $258,000 from trust funds under his control in the amount of $721,9 47.98; however, failed to advise client he had already withdrawn approximately $258,000 of the trust funds that he made payable to himself

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the patrons for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Judicial Department Committee on Professional Standards punished Billy by gifting him with a complimentary 3-year suspension of his law license.
