Attorney Ray Shain of Garden City, NY; convicted felon

The state of New York presented Ray E. Shain with a law license in 1981 after he graduated from the New York School of Law.

The Judicial Department Committee on Professional Standards found Ray guilty of the following misconduct.

• Convicted of falsifying business records, 1^st degree felony
• Convicted of engaging in a scheme to defraud, 1^st degree felony
• Convicted of giving unlawful gratuities, misdemeanor

As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Professional Standards Committee punished Ray by gifting him with a complimentary 5-year suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. August 2019), Ray practices at 1225 Franklin Avenue in Garden City, New York.
