Attorney Scott Wiss of West Hempstead, NY; convicted crook

The state of New York presented Scott Lawrence Wiss with a law license in 1991 after he graduated from New York Law School.

The Appellate Division Disciplinary Panel found Scotty guilty of the following misconduct.

In one matter, Scotty was charged and indicted with insurance fraud in the third degree, a class D felony. Scotty’s ambulance chasing tactics included employing an individual to illegally solicit clients. He was also charged with notary public fraud.

Subsequently, Scotty pled guilty to the reduced charge of insurance fraud in the fifth degree, a class A misdemeanor.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Appellate Division Disciplinary Panel punished Scotty by gifting him with a complimentary 6-month suspension of his law license.
