Attorney Howard Adelsberg of Brooklyn, NY; ethical goblin

The state of New York presented Howard Michael Adelsberg with a law license in 1986 after he graduated from the University of Bridgeport School of Law.

The Judicial Department Committee on Professional Standards found Howie guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to maintain appropriate ledger books
• Failed to make accurate entries of all financial transactions
• Failed to make available to ethics investigators the financial records required to be made and maintained for office trust account
• Misappropriated [stole] funds as fiduciary incident to his practice of law
• Engaged in conduct adversely reflecting on fitness to practice

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the patrons for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Judicial Department Committee on Professional Standards punished Howie by gifting him with a complimentary 1-year suspension of his law license.  

As we speak (ca. June 2020) Howie practices with The Berkman Law Office LLC at 111 Livingston Street in Brooklyn, New York.
