Attorney Merrie Chappell of Albuquerque, NM; ethical goblin

The state of New Mexico presented Merrie L. Chappell with a law license in 1993 after she graduated from the University of Idaho School of Law.

The New Mexico Disciplinary Board found Merrie guilty of the following misconduct.

• Knowingly disobeyed obligation under rules of tribunal (Screw you, said Merrie!)
• Failed to fully cooperate with ethics investigators (Up yours, said Merrie!)
• Engaged in conduct involving negligent representation
• Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the New Mexico Supreme Court punished Merrie by gifting her with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. October 2018) Merrie practices at 505 Main Street SW in Los Lunas, New Mexico.
