Attorney Joel Seltzer of Union, NJ; ethical dwarf

The state of New Jersey presented Joel C. Seltzer with a law license in 1980 after he graduated from the University of Bridgeport Law School.

The New Jersey Office of Ethics found Joel guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to notify client’s doctor of receipt of settlement funds
• Failed to pay doctor’s bill despite several requests to do so
• Failed to memorialize rate or basis of his fee

As a consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the New Jersey Supreme Court punished Joel by gifting him with a complimentary admonishment.

As we speak (ca. November 2014), Joel practices at 1379 Morris Avenue in Union, New Jersey.
