Attorney Fulford Preston of Newark, NJ; convicted of assaulting mother-in-law

The State of New Jersey presented Fulford I. Preston with a law license in 1998 after he graduated from Seton Hall University School of Law.

The New Jersey Office of Attorney Ethics found Fulford guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Alleged to have assaulted ex-wife and former mother-in-law
  • Indicted by grand jury for second-degree aggravated assault
  • Grand jury determined that Fulford had caused ex-wife serious bodily injury
  • Jury subsequently found Fulford guilty of simple assault
  • After mother-in-law told him to leave daughter’s house, Fulford said “fuck you” and puncher in the face
  • Ex-wife picked up long-handled ice chipper to persuade Fulford to leave her property; however, he pulled it from her hands and hit her in the head with it, causing her to fall to the ground and to temporarily lose consciousness

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the New Jersey Supreme Court punished Fulford by gifting him with a complimentary 3-month suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. September 2019) Fulford practices in Newark, New Jersey.
