Attorney Bartholomew Baffuto of Beachwood, NJ; slacker, loser

The state of New Jersey presented Bartholomew Baffuto with a law license in 1990 after he graduated from Rutgers University School of Law.

The New Jersey Office of Attorney Ethics found Bartholomew guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to comply with appellate court order
• Negligence and failure to comply with court order led to dismissal of client’s appeal
• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Engaged in gross neglect of a client matter
• Failed to inform client that her appeal had been dismissed

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the New Jersey Supreme Court punished Bartholomew by gifting him with a complimentary admonition.
