Attorney John Thor of Wisner, NE; ethical elf

The state of Nebraska presented John M. Thor with a law license in 1973 after he graduated from Creighton University Law School.

Disciplinary Counsel found Johnny guilty of the following misconduct.

• Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation
• Improperly obtained lien on client property to secure fee
• Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
• Improperly entered into business transaction with client
• Engaged in conduct adversely reflecting on fitness to practice law
• Improperly acquired interest in property in client’s bankruptcy matter

As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Nebraska Supreme Court punished Johnny by gifting him with a complimentary 30-day suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. February 2016), Johnny practices at 824 Avenue E in Wisner, Nebraska.
