Attorney Lyle Odo of Platte City, MO; ethical gremlin

The state of Missouri presented Lyle Louis Odo with a law license in 1975 after he graduated from Southern Methodist University (SMU) Law School. Lyle also received a license to practice in Kansas in 2007.

The Office of Disciplinary Counsel found Lyle guilty of the following misconduct.

• Engaged in conflict of interest in representing in 16 loan matters
• Represented the borrower and lending company in same transactions
• Secured loans with expected settlement funds from personal injury claim
• Disclosed confidential client information

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Office of Disciplinary Counsel punished Lyle by gifting him with a complimentary 2-year suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. November 2017), Lyle practices with Lyle Odo Inc. at 249 Main Street in Platte City, Missouri.
