The state of
The Minnesota Office of Lawyer Regulation found Brent guilty of the following misconduct.
In one matter, Brent knowingly made a false statement of material fact on his bar application.
Brent’s materially false statement related to his denial that he had ever been involved in any legal proceeding when in fact he had filed several complaints with the Minnesota Department of Commerce and the Minnesota Department of Human Rights. In addition, Brent the Liar was a defendant in a defamation action.
As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Minnesota Supreme Court punished Matthew by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.
