Attorney Michelle MacDonald of West St. Paul, MN; drunken loser

The state of Minnesota presented Michelle Lowney MacDonald with a law license in 1987 after she graduated from Suffolk University Law School in Boston, Massachusetts.

Unfortunately, Michelle is the GOP nominee for a seat on the Minnesota Supreme Court. In an effort to prove that she is unfit to sit on any court, Michelle knowingly failed to disclose her upcoming criminal trial for driving under the influence and resisting arrest to her GOP handlers.

In April 2013, Michelle was pulled over for speeding. The police report states that when officers approached her vehicle, they detected an odor of alcohol coming from it and asked Michelle to exit the vehicle and perform a field sobriety test. Michelle refused and repeatedly insisted that she had not been drinking.

Michelle then told the officers that was “a reserve cop,” “a lawyer,” and then demanded that they allow her to walk home. The officers then placed Michelle under arrest; however, she refused to exit her vehicle. The police report states, Michelle “began to physically resist the officers’ attempt to remove her from the vehicle and place her under arrest.”

While at the Rosemount Police Station, Michelle was read the state’s implied consent advisory that requires anyone arrested on suspicion of drunk driving to submit to a blood, urine, or breath test. When she was asked if she understood, Michelle shook her head indicating “no” and asked to speak to a lawyer. Of course she was lying when she said she didn’t understand

Minnesota law.

The arresting officers told Michelle that if she didn’t submit to the test within the allotted time after her arrest they would add a charge of refusing to take the test, which they did.

In a lame effort at levity, Michelle had the chutzpah to claim that she had a blood test performed at a hospital the next morning, and that it showed no alcohol in her system. Only a moron would put forth such an asinine defense.

All that’s left now is to wait for Michelle to cop a plea to a lesser criminal offense. Also, after her conviction we’ll have to see if the Office of Lawyer Regulation files disciplinary charges against Michelle.

As we speak (ca. June 2014), Michelle practices with the MacDonald Law Firm LLC at 1069 South Robert Street in West St. Paul, Minnesota.
