Attorney Michael Stefani of Royal Oak, MI; ethical dwarf

The state of Michigan presented Michael L Stefani with a law license in 1969 after he graduated from the University of Michigan Law School. 

The Michigan Disciplinary Board found Mike guilty of the following misconduct.

Mike’s misconduct involved his handling of text messages sent between then-Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick and his aide and paramour (mistress) Christine Beatty.

Mike admitted that he told the company that stored the text messages to send them to him, instead of sending them to the trial court, as a judge had previously ordered.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the patron saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Michigan Supreme Court punished Mike by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. June 2014), Mike practices with Stefani & Stefani PC at 512 East 11 Mile Road in Royal Oak, Michigan, which is a suburb of Detroit.
