Attorney Geoffrey Craig of Detroit; greedy loser

The state of Michigan presented Geoffrey L Craig with a law license in 1992 after he graduated from the University of Detroit Law School.

The Tri-County Hearing Panel #12 found Carl guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to file final inventory schedule in father’s probate matter
  • Failed to respond to court notice of suspension of his conservatorship in father’s probate case
  • Breached fiduciary duty owed to father
  • Knowingly disobeyed a court order (Screw you, said Carl!)
  • Failed to promptly pay funds owing to client
  • Failed to turn over remaining $62,500 in probate funds
  • Failed to pay fees for surety bond re: cancellation of bond
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Up yours, said Carl!)
  • Failed to notify client of receipt of funds owing to client

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Michigan Supreme Court punished Carl by gifting him with a complimentary 180-day suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. August 2017), Carl practices at 20755 Greenfield Road in Southfield, Michigan which is a suburb of Detroit.
