Attorney Jeffrey White of Auburn, MA; thieving loser

The state of Massachusetts presented Richard Michael Brown with a law license in 1981 after he graduated from Suffolk University School of Law. Jeff also received a license to practice in Illinois in 1982; a license from Wisconsin in 1986, and from Maine in 1988.

The Board of Bar Overseers found Jeff guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to communicate with his clients
  • Failed to deposit part of a retainer in his client trust account
  • Neglected legal matters entrusted to him
  • Filed false notarization in bankruptcy court
  • Failed to return client calls
  • Failed to refund unearned portion of a retainer (thief)
  • Failed to provide a bill to client setting forth claimed fees
  • Even though he performed no services for his clients, he only refunded the unearned fee after the clients filed an ethics complaint against him
  • Charged a clearly excessive fee
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to act with candor when dealing with a tribunal

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Board of Overseers punished Jeff by gifting him with a complimentary 9-month suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. March 2020) Jeff practices at 243 Mount Auburn Avenue in Auburn, Massachusetts.
