Attorney Robert Thompson of Baltimore, MD; ethical goblin

The state of Maryland presented Robert Philip Thompson with a law license in 1978 after he graduated from the University of Baltimore School of Law.

The Office of Disciplinary Counsel (ODC) found Bobby guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Failed to include the attorney or firm name on his trust account and clearly designate the title of trust account on checks and deposit slips
• Improperly deposited earned fees and personal funds into his trust account
• Issued check from designated trust account to pay a personal obligation
• Failed to maintain client ledgers
• Commingled client funds with personal funds

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Maryland Supreme Court punished Bobby by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand. 

As we speak (ca. October 2023), Bobby practices his so-called brand of law at 12 East Pleasant Street in Baltimore, Maryland.
