Attorney Thomas Dabney Jr. of Oakland, MD; ethical gnome

The state of Maryland presented Thomas Bullard Dabney Jr. with a law license in 1999 after he graduated from the University of Baltimore School of Law.

The Office of Disciplinary Counsel (ODC) found Tommy guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Communicated about the subject of representation with a person known to be represented by counsel
• Engaged in conduct that is prejudicial to the administration of justice
• Participated in a conference call between his client and the opposing party and did not seek permission from the
• opposing party’s attorney to communicate directly with the opposing party

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Maryland Supreme punished Tommy by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. April 2022), Tommy practices his so-called brand of law at 124 North 3^rd Street in Oakland, Maryland.
