Attorney Raj Singh of Rockville, MD; slacker, loser

The state of Maryland provided Raj Sanjeet Singh with a law license in 1998 after he graduated from the University of Baltimore School of Law.

The Office of Disciplinary Counsel (ODC) found Raj guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to communicate with clients
  • Represented a client involving a conflict of interest
  • Failed to safekeep unearned fees in an attorney trust account
  • Knowingly Made a false statement to Bar Counsel (Screw you, said Raj!)
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
  • Engaged in conduct involving dishonesty, fraud, deceit, or misrepresentation
  • Represented both spouses in an immigration matter
  • Failed to communicate regarding conditions on the resident status of the immigrant spouse before a two-year limitations period tolled
  • Undertook to advise one spouse on whether he could bring criminal charges against the other spouse
  • Gave a misleading statement under oath to Bar Counsel about whether he usually complied with rules requiring deposit of client funds in an attorney trust account

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Maryland Supreme punished Raj by gifting him with a complimentary 60-day suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. July 2020), Raj practices at 501 Monroe Street in Rockville, Maryland.
