Attorney John Midlen Jr. of Chevy Chase, MD; cheating loser

The state of District of Columbia provided John H. Midlen Jr. with a law license in 1969.

The D.C. Court of Appeals found Johnny guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to comply with client instructions on at least three separate occasions
  • Failed to respond to client written communication
  • Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation
  • Failed to deliver client files to successor attorney after discharge
  • Failed to provide client with accounting of claimed fees and charges
  • Failed to promptly notify client of receipt of funds owing to client
  • Misappropriated client funds by deducting fees from disputed funds entrusted to him
  • Repeatedly failed to provide timely accountings
  • Signed, without disclosure, a document without client’s authorization

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the D.C. Court of Appeals punished Johnny by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. March 2017), Johnny practices at 7618 Lynn Drive in Chevy Chase, Maryland.
