Attorney Sara Hammond of Bangor, ME; ethical goblin

The state of Massachusetts presented Sara L. Hammond with a law license in 2007 after she graduated from the Massachusetts School of Law.

The Board of Bar Overseers found Sara guilty of the following misconduct.

• Engaged in the illegal practice of law while license suspended
• Improperly represented clients on eight separate maters while working contemporaneously working as a court clerk for the Massachusetts Family and Probate Court
• Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
• Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation
• Knowingly disobeyed an obligation under the rules of a tribunal
• Engaged in conduct adversely reflecting on fitness to practice

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Board of Bar Overseers punished Sara by gifting her with a complimentary 2-month suspension of her law license.

As we speak (ca. March 2020) Sara practices at 72 Leighton Street in Bangor, Maine.
