Attorney Laetitia Black of Shreveport, LA; ethical goblin

The state of Louisiana presented Laetitia Black with a law license in 2003 after she graduated from Lousiana State University Law School.

The Office of Disciplinary Counsel found Laetitia guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Screw you, said Laetitia!)
  • Failed to communicate with client
  • Improper termination of client representation
  • Misconduct involved dishonest or selfish motive
  • Failed to appear at disciplinary hearing (Up yours, said Laetitia!)
  • Refused to participate in fee dispute program
  • Moved office without advising client of new address
  • Failed to expedite client matter
  • Engaged in a pattern of misconduct
  • Refused to acknowledge wrongful nature of misconduct
  • Displayed indifference to making restitution to client (victim)

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Louisiana Supreme Court punished Laetitia by gifting her with a complimentary 1-year suspension of her law license.

As we speak (ca. October 2017), Laetitia practices at 720 Travis Street in Shreveport, Louisiana.
