Attorney Ira Hawver of Ozawkie, KS; idiotic loser
The state of
The Kansas Board for Discipline of Attorneys found Ira guilty of the following misconduct.
In one matter, Ira was accused of gross incompetence by a capitol murder client he represented. Amazingly, Ira had never defended a capitol murder case when he agreed to represent Philip Cheatham Jr., whose capital conviction was overturned by the Kansas Supreme Court because Ira’s incompetence.
The board said Ira’s representation of Cheatham caused actual damage to the administration of justice due to the fact that Ira wasn’t competent to represent Cheatham because he didn’t appreciate the difference between trying a murder case and a capitol murder case.
Making matters worse, Ira failed to track Cheatham’s cell-phone location to support his client’s alibi.
During Cheatham’s trial, Ira the Idiot told jurors that Cheatham had a prior manslaughter conviction and repeatedly referred to his client as a “professional drug dealer” and “shooter of people. During the sentencing phase, Ira told the jurors that whoever committed the crime deserved to die.
All that remains now is to see what if any punishment the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Kansas Supreme Court mete out to Ira the Idiot.
