Attorney Michael Jahn of Olathe, KS; ethical troll

The state of Kansas presented Michael P. Jahn with a law license in 1997 after he graduated from the University of Kansas School of Law.

The Kansas Disciplinary Board found Mikey guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Improperly communicated with a person he knew to be represented by counsel
  • Failed to act truthfully when dealing with ethics investigators (Up yours, said Mikey!)
  • Misrepresented various material facts regarding agreement to represent a client pro bono (aka, for free)
  • Violated or attempted to violate the Rules of Professional Conduct, knowingly assisted or induced another to do so, or did so through the acts of another
  • Knowingly made a false statement of material fact or law to a third person
  • Engaged in a conflict of interest
  • Failed to abide by a client's decisions concerning the lawful objectives of client representation

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the Cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Kansas Supreme Court punished Mikey by gifting him with a complimentary 6-month suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. June 2023), Mikey practices his so-called brand of law with KC Legacy Law at 11845 South Fellows Street in Olathe, Kansas.
