Attorney Bruce Beye of Overland Park, KS; slacker, loser

The state of Kansas presented Joseph Raymond Borich III with a law license in 1982 after he graduated from the University of Kansas School of Law.

As one would suspect, this wasn’t Terry’s First bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree. He previously received a complimentary reprimand for engaging in a variety of misconduct.

The Kansas Disciplinary Board found Bruce guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to communicate with his client
  • Commingled client funds with personal funds
  • Failed to keep client informed of status of matter
  • Failed to comply with client information requests
  • Failed to safeguard client funds
  • Misconduct involved multiple rule violations
  • Misconduct caused potential harm and actual harm to his client.
  • Violated his duty to his client
  • Failed to provide his client with an accounting of the $10,000.00 TPCS paid to him upon the client’s request
  • Failed to deposit unearned fees into a client trust account

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the Cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Kansas Supreme Court punished Bruce by gifting him with a complimentary censure.

As we speak (ca. May 2023), Bruce practices his so-called brand of law at 8101 College Blvd in Overland Park, Kansas.
