Attorney James Rumsey of Lawrence, KS; potty mouth liar

The state of Kansas presented James E. Rumsey with a law license in 1972.

The Kansas Board for Discipline of Attorneys found Jimmy guilty of the following misconduct.

• Engaged in undignified or discourteous conduct
• Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation
• Knowingly made false statement to ethics investigators (Up yours, said Jimmy!)
• During DUI trial, called Assistant DA a derogatory name
• Had secretary notarize affidavit outside client’s presence
• Submitted sham affidavit to disciplinary administrator as sworn statement in presence of notary

As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Kansas Supreme Court punished Jimmy by gifting him with a complimentary 3-year term of probation.

As we speak (August 2015), Jimmy practices at 840 Connecticut Street in Lawrence, Kansas.
