Attorney Kimberly Smith of Waterloo, IA; ethical troll

The state of Iowa presented Kimberly Kathleen Smith with a law license in 2013 after she graduated from the University of Iowa School of Law.

Disciplinary Counsel found Kimmy guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Engaged in negligent conduct regarding client appellate matter
• Failed to file combined appellate certificate and pay filing fee
• Failed to fully cooperate with ethics investigators (Up yours, said Kim!)

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Iowa Supreme Court punished Kimmy by gifting her with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. September 2021), Kimmy practices her brand of law at 311 East 4^th Street in Waterloo, Iowa.
