The state of Iowa presented Kristy Boyer Arzberger with a law license in 1986 after she graduated from Drake University School of Law.

 

The Iowa Supreme Court Attorney Disciplinary Board found Kristy guilty of the following misconduct.

 

It should be noted that prior to the disciplinary matters set forth below, Kristy received three (3) complimentary admonitions for engaging in a variety of misconduct.

 

Kristy’s 4th bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Falsely told client petition for visitation rights had been forwarded to the sheriff for service
  • Failed to properly supervise office staff
  • Failed to communicate with clients

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the Cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Iowa Supreme Court punished Kristy by gifting her with a complimentary admonition.

 

Kristy’s 5th bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
  • In an appeal of a dissolution-of-marriage case, ignored notice of default for want of prosecution

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the Cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Iowa Supreme Court punished Kristy by gifting her with a complimentary admonition.

 

Kristy’s 6th bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Engaged in a conflict of interest
  • Demonstrated dishonesty in various matters
  • Made disparaging remarks about ethics investigator
  • During phone call told complainant “we’re going to bury the fucker”

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the Cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Iowa Supreme Court punished Kristy by gifting her with a complimentary reprimand.

 

Kristy’s 7th bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Charged and collected extraordinary fees in a probate case without court approval
  • Failed to comply with Iowa law regarding payment of fees in probate matters

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the Cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Iowa Supreme Court punished Kristy by gifting her with a complimentary 30-day suspension of her law license.

 

As we speak (ca. September 2020), Kristy practices with the Arzberger Law Office at 1531 South Monroe Avenue in Mason City, Iowa.
