Attorney Scott Fisher of Waukee, IA; ethical troll

The state of Iowa presented Scott D. Fisher with a law license in 2007 after he graduated from the University of Iowa Law School.

The Iowa Supreme Court Attorney Disciplinary Board found Scotty guilty of the following misconduct.

  • In family law case filed notice of Appeal, but failed to file a combined certificate
  • In post-conviction appeal fined $300 for failing to comply with filing requirements
  • In petition to establish paternity, fined $150 for late filing of client appeal
  • Engaged in a pattern of neglecting client matters
  • Repeatedly disregarded or disobeyed court orders
  • Failed to expedite client litigation
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice

As one would suspect, this isn’t Scotty’s First bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree. He previously received a complimentary admonishment for engaging in a variety of misconduct.

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the Cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Iowa Supreme Court punished Scotty by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. April 2019), Scotty practices at 500 West Hickman in Waukee, Iowa.
