Attorney Mark Rasmussen of Jefferson, IA; slacker, repeat offender

The state of Iowa presented Mark James Rasmussen with a law license in 1983 after he graduated from Creighton University Law School.

The Iowa Supreme Court Disciplinary Board found Mark guilty of the following misconduct.

Mark’s 1^st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

• Pled guilty to soliciting the services of a prostitute

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Iowa Supreme Court punished Mark by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

Mark’s 2^nd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree      

• Failed to provide responses to opposing party’s discovery requests
• Neglected matter entrusted to him
• Lost important documents
• Failed to return client phone calls
• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Did virtually nothing for client after acceptance of advance fee

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Iowa Supreme Court punished Mark by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. October 2018), Mark practices with the Rasmussen Law Office at 105 East Lincoln Way in Jefferson, Iowa.
