The state of Iowa presented James A. Schall of with a law license in 1967 after he graduated from Drake University Law School.

 

The Iowa Supreme Court Attorney Disciplinary Board found Jimmy guilty of the following misconduct.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Iowa Supreme Court punished Jimmy by gifting him with a complimentary 6-month suspension of his law license.

  • Failed to deposit fee into trust account as required
  • Collected an illegal fee of $5,000 (crook)

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Iowa Supreme Court punished Jimmy by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

 

Jimmy’s 2nd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Failed to file state income tax returns for six (6) years
  • Substantially underreported his income for three (3) years
  • Pled guilty to three aggravated counts of failing to file tax returns for three years
  • Sentenced to two years of probation and fined $6,250
  • Mishandled client’s legal matter resulting in client requesting new counsel

As a consequence of his misconduct, the Cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Iowa Supreme Court punished Jimmy by gifting him with a complimentary 6-month suspension of his law license.

 

As we speak (ca. July 2015), Jimmy practices with the Schall Law Office at 617 Lake Avenue in Storm Lake, Iowa.
