Attorney Thomas Bleyhl of Des Moines; ethical misfit

The state of Iowa presented Thomas Karl Bleyhl of with a law license in 2006 after he graduated from Drake University of Law School.

The Iowa Supreme Court Attorney Disciplinary Board found Tommy guilty of the following misconduct.

• Misconduct involved multiple offenses
• Engaged in a conflict of interest
• Failed to inform client of transaction resulting in conflict of interest
• Failed to promptly inform client of any decision or circumstance with respect to which client’s informed consent was required

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Iowa Supreme Court punished Tommy by gifting him with a complimentary 30-day suspension of his law license.
