Attorney Scott Danks of Evansville, IN: serial drunk

The Indiana Disciplinary Commission found Scott guilty of the following misconduct.

While being investigated by the Disciplinary Commission, Scott admitted that he never filed the court entry during the time he refused to have any contact with his client.

In the first matter, Scott was criminally convicted for driving under the influence, which was his second conviction.

In the second matter, a client hired Scott to modify his child support payments. Subsequently, an agreement was reached modify support. It was Scott’s duty to provide a copy of the agreement to the trial court. The client (victim) called Scott several times to request a copy of the court entry. Scott failed to return any of these calls. The client then wrote Scott expressing his frustration and again requested a copy of the court entry. Scott again ignored his client’s request. The client then filed an ethics complaint against Scott.

This wasn’t Scott’s First bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree. He previously received a complimentary reprimand for a prior conviction of driving under the influence and suggesting to arresting officers he could improperly influence a public official.

As a consequence of her misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Indiana Supreme Court punished Scott by gifting him with a complimentary 90 day suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. October 2012) Scott practices at 1010 Sycamore Street in Evansville, Indiana.
