Attorney Lloyd Koehler of New Albany, IN; ethical goblin

The state of Indiana presented Lloyd E. Koehler with a law license in 1961 after he graduated from the University of Louisville School of Law.

The Indiana Disciplinary Commission found Lloyd guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Over several years, Lloyd mismanaged his law firm’s trust accounts

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Indiana Supreme Court punished Lloyd by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 180-day suspension of his law license. He was also ordered to pay $14,404.96 representing the ethics investigative costs.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the Indiana Supreme Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Lloyd.

As one would suspect, Lloyd failed to mention the misconduct above on his self-serving website at www.koehlerbankruptcy.com. Apparently he chose to conceal this relevant information from prospective clients for the purpose of not limiting his future victim pool.

As we speak (ca. January 2020) Lloyd practices with the Koehler Law Office at 400 Pearl Street in New Albany, Indiana.
