Attorney John Nelson of Carmel, IN; wife beating drunk

The state of Indiana presented John Woodrow Nelson with a law license in 1980 after he graduated from the University of Indiana Law School.

The Indiana Disciplinary Counsel found Johnny guilty of the following misconduct.

• Pled guilty to operating vehicle while intoxicated
• Pled guilty to Domestic Battery (wife beating)
• Tried and found guilty of operating a vehicle while intoxicated
• Committed criminal acts adversely reflecting on fitness to practice
• Failed to notify Ethics Commission within 10 days of criminal conviction

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Indiana Supreme Court punished Johnny by gifting him with a complimentary 30-day suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. November 2018), Johnny practices with the Law Office of John Nelson in Carmel, Indiana.
