Attorney Paul Watts of Spencer, IN; ethical goblin

The state of Indiana provided Paul Joel Watts with a law license in 1974 after he graduated from the University of Indiana Law School.

The Indiana Disciplinary Commission found Paulie guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to explain matter to allow client to make informed decisions re: representation
• Represented a client when the representation would be materially limited by his responsibilities to a third person or by his own personal interests
• Knowingly assisted another in violating the rules of conduct
• Prepared instrument for nonrelative giving him substantial gift

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Indiana Supreme Court punished Paulie by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 3-month suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. April 2018) Paulie practices with the Watts Law Office PC at 85 South Main Street in Spencer, Indiana.
