Attorney Thomas E. Alsip of Indianapolis; drunkard

The state of Indiana presented Thomas Eugene Alsip with a law license in 1970.

For approximately four years, Thomas sat as an undistinguished judge on the Marion County Superior Court. During his tenure on the bench the Indiana Judicial Qualifications Commission charged Tommy with misconduct regarding his criminal conviction for driving under the influence.

Tommy was arrested after having drinks at the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge where he was consoling a police officer whose wife had just been buried. So Tommy’s idea of consoling someone is to get drunk! Isn’t that special?

One can be assured that this wasn’t the first time that Tommy the Lush was driving while under the influence. He just happened to get caught this time.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Indiana Supreme Court punished Tom the Drunk by gifting him with a complimentary censure.

As we speak (April 2012) Tom practices law when sober at 6100 North Keystone Avenue in Indianapolis, Indiana.
