Attorney Charles Rush of New Albany, IN; ethical elf

The state of Indiana provided Charles Richard Rush with a law license in 1996 after he graduated from the University of Louisville Law School.

The Indiana Disciplinary Commission found Charlie guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Wrote check on insufficient fund account (rubber)
  • Failed to safeguard client funds
  • Used settlement funds belonging to one client and paid them to several other clients that weren’t entitled to said funds

As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Indiana Supreme Court punished Charlie by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 90-day suspension of his law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the Indiana Supreme Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Charlie.

As we speak (ca. August 2015) Charlie practices with the Rush Law Office at 421 West First Street in New Albany, Indiana, which is a suburb of Louisville, Kentucky.
