To close a probate estate’s bank account and receive the funds, he signed the dead executor’s name to bank documents needed to release the funds.

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Florida Supreme punished Joel by gifting him with a complimentary 2-year suspension of his law license.

  • While representing an automobile dealer who had been sued for selling a defective car, Mr. Brodsky repeatedly made baseless, vitriolic claims against the plaintiff’s attorney and expert witness
  • In a patent infringement case, Mr. Brodsky failed to withdraw after being discharged by his client and then revealed in a pleading confidential information about the identity of an entity funding the litigation
  • while representing a party in a divorce action, sent an e-mail to various persons disparaging the mental health and character of his client’s spouse

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Illinois Supreme punished Joel by gifting him with a complimentary 3-month suspension of his law license.
