Attorney Ronald Boorstein of Highland Park, IL; lying fraudster

The state of Illinois presented Ronald Lee Boorstein with a law license in 1960 after he graduated from DePaul University Law School.

The Disciplinary Commission found Ronnie guilty of the following misconduct.

  • While representing a husband and wife in a mechanic’s lien action,  Ronnie created a fictitious corporation that had a name similar to one of the parties to the case
  • Drafted letter containing false statements about fictitious corporation
  • Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation
  • Attached fictitious letter to a motion to dismiss in which he referred to the letter
  • Created two fraudulent lien releases
  • Had an employee sign and notarize phony documents
  • Directed the creation of another fictitious corporation for the purpose of deceiving a bank into believing that a line no longer existed

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Illinois Supreme Court punished Ronnie by gifting him with a complimentary 60-day suspension of his law license.

As we speak (September 2018), Ronnie practices with the Law Offices of Ronald L. Boorstein at 1120 Kent Avenue in Highland Park, Illinois.
