Attorney Samuel Bauerle of Salem, IL; ethical goblin

The state of Illinois presented Samuel Edward Bauerle with a law license in 1977 after he graduated from the University of Illinois Law School.

The Illinois Registration and Disciplinary Commission found Sammy guilty of the following misconduct.

• Breached fiduciary duty to estate
• Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
• Failed to appreciate seriousness of neglect
• Failure to supervise office staff left to conversion of client funds
• Failed to appreciate gravity of fiduciary responsibilities to his clients
• Engaged in conduct tending to bring the courts/legal profession into disrepute (What’s new?)
• Failed to properly supervise office staff

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Illinois Supreme Court punished Sammy by gifting him with a complimentary 1-year suspension of his law license.  

As we speak (March 2017), Sammy practices at 321 West McMackin Street in Salem, Illinois.
