Attorney James Jankowicz of Decatur, IL; slacker

The state of Illinois presented James Adam Jankowicz with a law license in 1980 after he graduated from the University of Illinois Law School.

The Illinois Registration and Disciplinary Commission found Jimmy guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
• Failed to keep client informed of status of legal matter
• Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation
• Engaged in conduct tending to defeat the administration of justice or to bring the courts or legal profession into disrepute

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Illinois Supreme Court punished Jimmy by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 3-month suspension of his law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the Illinois Supreme Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Jimmy.

As we speak (February 2017), Jimmy practices with Record & Jankowicz at 101 South Main Street in Decatur, Illinois.
